32 week ob appointment

,back ground info: so i have had 3 uti 's so far this pregnancy and i was pretty sure i had another one so----
i went in for my appointment i have lost 4 pounds this month- I'm sure its from all the peeping:)
brennan sounded great, blood pressure is great...did my urine sample and in 2 seconds the nurse said oh my you definitly have blood in your urine..oh great! she said I have A LOT of blood in it, and she would let my ob know....

well in he comes...and says andrea i dont think you have a uti..i think you have small kidney stones! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? not what i wanted to hear.....he said since there is no protien, or other things they check for in my urine..he doesnt' think its a uti, so I have an antiobiotic i have to take for the next 7 weeks..he promises it wont' harm brennan in any way, and that i need to keep drinking fluids and emptying my bladder...(thanks for that captain obvious)smile.gif

anyway..i'm praying for relief, and that the next 7 weeks fly by!!

32 weeks!!

This week your baby is close to the 4 pounds, 17 inches mark, so it pretty much makes sense that you feel massive. They've also developed sensitivity to temperature and have little toe nails and finger nails now!!

30 weeks and 4 days!!!!

so i had my 30 1/2 week checkup today!

i actually lost a pound:) and my blood pressure looks great, and brennan was moving all over to get away from the doppler:) , but the nurse was able to get a read , and his heart beat was low 150's- so everything looked great!!

well then the dr comes in and measures my belly and says...so how big was Emma at birth? i said she was 8 pounds 11 ounces...he said well..your growing really well right now..i said uh yay i'm growing thats for sure:) he said if baby keeps this up we're looking at another 8 pounder:) and then i saw him write down that i'm measuring 32 weeks..so woo hoo:) and he says in about 5 1/2 weeks...we'll go to our weekly appointments..WOW that made it soo real!!

my tentative date for c-section is may 14'th...but i'm going to try and talk him into letting me have brennan may 11'th:) weekends are better for my family to be able to come , since they all work:)

so thats my update for now:)

27 weeks and counting!!

oh my soul...12 more weeks till brennan arrives!! I cant' beleive that!! 12 more Fridays!!!

time is flying by...i went yesterday and had my glucose test, praying fervently that I pass that test with flying colors!!
we spent last week discussing what to do with brennan once he gets here..:) well i mean where he will sleep etc:) we have decided to keep emma in her room for a few months, and brennan will sleep in our room in a bassinet that our friends from church are letting us borrow!! we will move em's clothes to the guest room, and let brennan have the dresser:) emma has more clothes than i do, so maybe she should have my space instead:) anyway random i know:)
well thats all for now!

oh my soul -- please Lord no more drama!!

so I am 26 weeks pregnant
saturday at 1 a.m. i woke up with horrid back pain..couldnt' do anything to get comfy..not standing, kneeling, sitting or laying..it was awful...around 2 a.m. i started vomiting ALOT...then i went to take a bath.. and started throwing up again...bryan came in and asked what was wrong..i explained it to him...i had kidney stones during my pregnancy with emma...and this felt just like it!!
so at 3 we went to labor and delivery..they hooked me up to the monitors, and brennan praise the Lord was doing great...the mama not so much:( so then i started throwing up again:( and around 5:30 the nurse said ...andrea you dont' have kidney stones..but you do have a uti, and in your urine there is blood, bacteria, and your white blood cell count is up:( so they gave me an antibiotic and meds for the nausua....
IS it may yet? i am praying that the rest of the pregnancy goes by without a hitch--next step pass the glucose test next Monday---

so we had a little scare today!

i am 24 weeks and 3 days pregnant.....i have been spotting since last night...and crampy..and just not feeling right.... they found brennans' heartbeat right away, it was nice and steady in the 150s my blood pressure was fine, and urine looked good, but then the dr. did a vaginal exam, and i have to have an ultrasound at 1:15--the dr. didnt' mention dilation or anything.... i will update when we know more!!

so we're back from the ultrasound here's the update--

i just got back from the ultrasound and PRAISE THE LORD everything looks great!!! my cervix is completly shut, the placenta is right where it needs to be, and best of all Brennan is looking awesome!!! He is just growin just as he should be..his heart, brain, and all that look fabulous!! he is almost 2 pounds already, and measuring a few days ahead! so there is no explanation for the bleeding, so i just have to watch the spotting, and just rest up--- my dr. will call later for a follow up... but as of right now all is well!!! i was so relieved to look on that ultrasound screen and see my sweet miracle just a moving--he was even playing with his little mouth!!!

Friday, January 19, 2007

um wow its been way to long ---

so i'm way behind on the ol blog!!

lets' see i am now at 23 weeks !!!
Let the good times roll!!

oh and most everyone knows WE ARE HAVING A BOY!!!
woo hoo thank you Lord..everything looked perfect at the ultrasound..

we are about 90 percent sure that we will name our boy Brennan Michael...well i'm 100 percent sure bryan is not all the way convinced, but i politely keep reminding him that I am the one doing all the work, so I should get to name the child:)

The pregnancy is flying by, and Brennan is making himself known, with lots of kicks and flips!:)

17 weeks

Guess what? Your amazing baby is getting EVEN bigger, more beautiful, and smarter every day! As you’ve come to expect, there’s no shortage of growth and development this week: your fantastic little bean stalk has added yet another half inch to its overall height (which makes them about 6 inches long). Their little limbs have reached (or are within one week of) their relative proportions, and will continue to grow evenly with the rest of the body after this week. Reactive listening has begun for your baby, even though their ears are not yet structurally complete or fully functional. Meanwhile, different parts of their astonishingly complex brain are developing to process your little one’s hearing and other five senses, (you know, sight, smell, taste and touch). Mind boggling factoid of the week: if you’re having going to have a little girl, her ovaries have already produced millions of primordial egg cells, which, within a few weeks, will develop into actual eggs! Phew… just wait till she’s a teenager eh?

16 weeks

Over the past three weeks your astounding growing baby has managed to stretch yet another 2 full inches (totaling about 4.5”) and weighs around 3.5 ounces. That’s pretty serious growth, and with it comes several physical developments! For starters, their head to body ratio is finally starting to even out a bit as the rest of the body is actually growing faster than the head at this point. Finally, your little light bulb is not so top-heavy. Their adorable little limbs have lengthened, almost reaching their normal proportions which they will have at birth. Their eyes are still closed but moving now and if you had an ultrasound, which many doctors recommend you have at about this time, you may even see your little one sucking on a thumb, not to mention the necessary signifiers to let you know whether you’ve got a wee lad or lassie.
